• Seagate unveils 60TB SSD drive, the world’s largest

    Seagate has announced two new storage innovations at the Flash Memory Summit conference in Santa Clara, California. The new products from the company include a 60TB Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) SSD and an 8TB Nytro XP7200 NVMe SSD. It is important to understand this 60TB SSD offering from Seagate is not coming to the consumer market anytime soon.
    It was Samsung which earlier held the title of having built the largest capacity SAS SSD (15.36TB PM1633a), which it unveiled in March this year. This hard drive is based on a 12Gb/s SAS interface, and is aimed at enterprise data storage system. The 2.5-inch form factor allows the user to fit two of these drivers in a standard 19-inch 2U rack.

    Noble Skiodo has announced the launch of its latest 65-inch smart LED television in India. This comes on the heals of the launch of new 4K smart TVs from LeEco.
    After smartphones, India is turning into the dominant market for television makers. Recently TCL, the world’s third largest television manufacturer launched its TV sets in India. The launch was quickly followed by LeEco, the Chinese ecosystem company which brought three new 4K TVs here. Yesterday, Kodak also introduced its TV range for Indian consumers.

    Titan has announced the launch of its second smartwatch, Juxt Pro in India. Titan Juxt Pro is the first fully touch enabled smartwatch from the company.
    Titan Juxt Pro follows on the principles of Juxt smartwatch but is now a full fledged smartwatch. It features a 1.3-inch full circular display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, which should make it scratch resistant. The Titan Juxt featured a regular watch hands embedded with OLED display to show notifications.
