• Intex launches two new Bluetooth 2.1 speakers at Rs 2,999 in India

    Intex IT 212 SUFB comes with Bluetooth connectivity, a SD card slot, a USB port, an Aux port and a built-in FM tuner
    Intex Technologies has added two entry-level 2.1 speakers to its home speaker range with the launch of the IT 212 SUFB and IT 213 SUFB models. With the addition of these two speakers, Intex now has 27 models of 2.1 speakers, 15 models in its 4.1 series and 10 models in its 5.1 series speakers.

  • Intel announces Falcon 8+ drone with autopilot for aerial-sensing

    Intel has announced the launch of the Falcon 8+ drone for North America, and will be the first drone to carry Intel’s name on it
    Intel has announced the company’s first consumer drone, the Yuneec Typhoon H that features Intel’s RealSense technology that allows for obstacle navigation. The drone also comes with Intel’s Aero Platform to allow developers to build their own drones from the ground up.  For commercial usage, the company has introduced the Falcon 8+ UAV for North American commercial markets. Intel has been working hard to create innovative technologies for the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) market in the commercial space.

  • MediaTek announces MT2511 and MT2523 SoCs targeted at wearable device makers

    MediaTek’s new SoCs with onboard GPS and Bluetooth LE are aimed at wearables and fitness device makers
    MediaTek has announced two new SoCs targeted at healthcare and fitness device makers. The two new SoCs – MT2511 and MT2523 – are targeted towards emerging health, fitness and wearables market. MediaTek says end products powered by MT2511 and MT2523 will be available in Indian market by early 2017. MediaTek’s new SoCs deliver on needs of a top range fitness tracking device.

    The new MediaTek MT2511 is the first chip from the semiconductor manufacturer to feature bio-sensing analog front-end (AFE) chip. MediaTek MT2523 is designed for active and fitness smartwatches. The new chip is the first with system-in-package (SiP) to offer GPS, dual-mode Bluetooth Low Energy and a MIPI-supported high resolution mobile screen.
