Intel and experimental US clothing studio Chromat revealed a high-tech sports bra with cooling vents and a 3D printed dress that responds to the wearer’s adrenaline levels. Chromat showcased the clothes at its Spring Summer 2016 Collection.
The Chromat Adrenaline Dress is powered by Intel’s Curie, which is a low-powered device for wearables, and is made of 3D printed panels designed and “an interlinked, expandable carbon fiber framework,” according to the designer studio.

The Adrenaline Dress expands or contracts based on the wearers adrenaline or stress levels and sense the flight-or-fight mode.
“When animals are in fight-or-flight mode, when they feel stressed … their silhouette expands. That concept of [an] adrenaline response is the inspiration behind the dress,” Becca McCharen told ABCNews on the concept behind the dress.

The Aero Sports Bra “leverages shape memory alloy to open vents to cool down the body when it senses heat and sweat”, and using the Curie module it can respond to perspiration, body temperature, etc. According to Chromat, this bra will help the wearer push their boundaries when training at a gym.
The Intel Curie module is a wearable with a 32-bit SoC, motion sensor, Bluetooth radio, and battery charging. It has a 384kB Flash memory, 80kB SRAM and 6-axis combo sensor with accelerometer and gyroscope.
