Satya Nadella announces Microsoft Surface Pro 4 for January and Lumia 950, 950XL this December

Surface Pro 4 will launch in India in January while Lumia 950 and 950XL will come to India by December.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed the India launch of the Surface Pro 4 tablet by January 2016. Nadella also said that Microsoft’s new Lumia flagship smartphones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, will be launch in the country by December.
Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 4 starts at $899, the Pro 4 with i5 starts at $999 and Surface Pro 4 with i7 will start at $1599. When converted, the Surface Pro 4 comes to Rs 60,000, while the Pro 4 with i5 costs Rs 65,000. The Pro 4 with i7 will cost more than Rs 1 lakh upon conversion. With taxes, the Surface Pro 4 is likely to cost much more and it remains to be seen which versions Microsoft will bring to India.
The Lumia 950 starts at $549 (Rs 36,000) while Lumia 950XL starts at $649 (Rs 42,610).

On the specs front, the Surface Pro 4 has a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 (267 PPI). It runs Windows 10 Pro, has a TPM chip for enterprise security.

Microsoft is offering the Surface Pro 4 in Intel 6th Gen m3, i5, or i7 processors and it will come with 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB RAM options. For graphics, the Surface Pro 4 has Intel HD graphics 515 with m3 processor, Intel HD graphics 520 with i5 and Intel Iris with i7 processor.
Dimensions of the Surface Pro are 11.50-inch x 7.93-inch x 0.33-inch. Surface Pro 4 comes in 4 SSD options in the US: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
Surface Pro 4 supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi; IEEE and is 802.11a/b/g/n compatible, and has Bluetooth 4.0 support. Ports include USB 3.0, microSD card reader, headset jack, mini DisplayPort and a Cover port SurfaceConnect. Sensors on the list are Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
Surface Pro 4 also has a 5 mp front-facing HD camera and 8 mp rear-facing autofocus camera with 1080p HD video recording. It has stereo microphones and stereo speakers with Dolby audio. The battery life is up to 9 hours of video playback. Microsoft also announced a new keyboard for the Surface Pro 4 with Fingerprint ID.

Lumia 950 and 950 XL come with 5.2-inch display and 5.7-inch display respectively. Microsoft has equipped both phones with WQHD OLED panels with Glance technology.  Lumia 950 is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor while 950XL is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.
Both the devices start with 32GB storage option. Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL both come with 3GB RAM and support an additional memory card space of up to 200 GB.  Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL supports USB-Type C port with quick charging.
The biggest new features in Windows 10 Mobile is Continuum which converts these mobile devices into a full-fledged Windows 10 PCs via a dock.
