Xiaomi is all set to launch two new products tomorrow at a dedicated event in Beijing. According to reports, Xiaomi will launch Mi Notebook and Redmi Pro smartphone.
Xiaomi has been rumoured to launch a notebook for quite sometime now and the product is likely to launch tomorrow. The latest leak confirms Xiaomi Mi Notebook’s metal unibody design and pricing.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook is likely to follow Apple Macbook Pro’s design language. The leaked image by GizmoChina hints at metal unibody design with thin bezels and curved edges. The side view shows the notebook with USB-C port for charging and a full size USB port next to it.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook is likely to come in two variants – one featuring a low-power Core i5 processor and another one featuring Core i7 processor. Xiaomi Mi Notebook is also likely to feature chicklet style keys. The leak also confirms Xiaomi Mi notebook’s arrow keys will also double up as page up, page down, home and end keys.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook’s base variant is expected to be powered by Core i5 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is likely to be priced at 3,999 Yuan. The GizmoChina also reports that there is a more powerful variant in the offing which will be called Mi Notebook Pro.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro leaked specifications confirm Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970M graphics processor with 4GB discrete memory and 512GB storage. The laptop is expected to be priced at 6,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 67,578). At that price, Xiaomi could actually disrupt the laptop market which has been declining for past few quarters.
