Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 launch likely on July 27

According to GizmoChina, Xiaomi’s Director of new Media has confirmed the first product will have four letters while the second will have five. The GizmoChina report further notes that the four letter device could Redmi Note 4 or Mi Note 4. The second product would essentially be a laptop.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 is expected to feature a dual rear camera and is likely to be powered by MediaTek Helio X20 chipset. Xiaomi is also rumoured to launch three variants of its notebooks with display sizes varying from 12.5-inch to 15.6-inch.
Xiaomi, which is called China’s Apple, has diversified its product offerings a lot lately. It has moved from smartphones to connected devices and has even entered electric bicycle very recently.
While PC shipments have been declining for the past few quarters, the last quarter results indicate PC sales to be rebounding from its sharp fall. With Xiaomi now looking to venture into the laptop market, it remains to be seen whether they will continue with the high-end specs and low-pricing tactic as they have done with smartphones.
