    If you’ve been paying attention to photography blogs for the past five years, you’ve probably noticed the exploding popularity of speedlights. Versatile and relatively inexpensive, these flashes offer TTL support that simplifies exposing an image. Even though I find speedlights extremely convenient, I often find myself using traditional strobes for creative lighting. While I know that I can often obtain big-strobe results from smaller speedlights, I’ve found that mounting modifiers onto the small speedlights is almost always incredibly cumbersome. I’ve battled with rubber straps, double-sided velcro and adhesive glue, but I’ve always found the mounting process clunky.  That’s why I was so interested in the MagMod system.

    What makes the MagMod system so unique is the way various flash modifiers are attached. The MagGrip is a rubber sleeve that wraps (admittedly with some difficulty) over the flash head.   • LeEco Super3 series TV set for flash sale on August 26

    LeEco Super3 TVs come with two year free subscription to company’s content ecosystem
    LeEco has announced that the first flash sale for its Super3 series TVs will be held on August 26. The company has confirmed it had received 10,000 registrations in a day for its Super3 series ecosystem TVs in India.
    The registrations for LeEco’s Super3 TVs will be available from Flipkart and company’s own e-commerce platform, LeMall till August 26. LeEco had recently announced three new 4K TVs in company’s Super3 TV range in India. LeEco’s Super3 TV series will be available in screen sizes ranging from 55-inch to 65-inch. All LeEco Super3 TVs run company’s own EUI 5.6 with its own content ecosystem, which was launched in collaboration with YuppTV and other services in India recently.

  • Sony USB Type-C, Type-A Dual Connection flash drive launched

    Sony USB Type-C and Type-A Dual Connection Flash Drive is available in three capacities – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
    Sony has introduced the USB Type-C Flash Drive for data sharing and create connections between different devices.
    The device is a USB 3.1 Generation 1 standard and encompasses a read speed of up to 130MB/s for data transfer. The device has metal exterior packed in a slim compact body. The USB flash drive is further supplied with a silicone cover along with a strap hole.
    The USB Type-C enables users to transfer files between devices such as the Apple MacBook 12-inch model, PCs, smartphones and tablets, which come with a USB Type-C port, and PCs with a conventional USB Type-A port.

    SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive has been upgraded and now aims to quickly and easily free up space for iPhone and iPad users.
    The redesigned iXpand Flash Drive drops the battery seen in the first generation device, and looks very similar to Leaf iBridge we reviewed very recently. SanDisk says its new iXpand Flash Drive can connect with most iPhone cases. The new flash drive comes in a maximum capacity of 128GB.
