Apple released its 2016 MacBook Pro lineup, but KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that he expects the Cupertino giant to drop the price of the new lineup, and even add 32GB RAM support next year.
Kuo noted that Apple usually launches its products at a higher price, and only does price cuts on the units in the new year that follows. He anticipates that the drop in prices will be coming during the second half of next year. Kuo additionally believes that customers will gravitate towards the new MacBook’s once the USB-C market matures along with the Touch Bar.

An Apple event is on the way, says a new report on Recode. According to the report, the new 2016 MacBook models will be showcased at an event on October 27. Given the MacBooks have gotten an upgrade for sometime now, this was long due. Recent leaks and reports have also hinted about a new redesigned MacBook Pro and MacBook Air this year.
According to the report, Apple’s event will take place at the company’s Cupertino Campus and not in San Francisco where most product announcements take place. Apple has reportedly bid goodbye to its third-gen Apple TV, shifting its focus on the new fourth-gen model, media reported on Thursday.
According to 9to5mac.com, in an email sent out to employees and education partners, Apple said that it is discontinuing the device.
“The third-gen model was introduced in 2012 and was quietly updated a year later. Since then, Apple has shifted its focus to the tvOS-powered fourth-gen Apple TV,” the report said.
The company is currently selling refurbished models of third-gen Apple TV for $59. Once the refurbished models disappear, “Apple will seemingly have stopped sales of the third-gen Apple TV all together,” the report added.
